The short answer
- Choose FlutterGo if you want to describe an app in plain words and watch it get built, start for free, keep the code and sync to GitHub from $49 a month, or build on your own ChatGPT, Grok or Claude with messages included in your plan.
- Choose FlutterFlow if you prefer placing every widget yourself in a visual editor, or you need its team features such as branching and comments.
At a glance
| FlutterGo | FlutterFlow | |
|---|---|---|
| How you build | Describe the app in chat; an AI agent writes the Flutter code and runs it in a live preview | Drag-and-drop visual editor with 200+ UI elements, plus AI requests |
| Free plan | Build and preview your first app (5 credits on day one, then 3 a day for the first week) | 5 AI requests in total; web publishing only, no code download or store deployment |
| Build with your own AI | Yes: sign in with ChatGPT or Grok, or add an API key, included with Pro (500 a month) and Business (2,000); or connect ChatGPT, Claude, Grok or Cursor over MCP | No own-key option; an experimental MCP server on paid plans |
| Download the code | From $49/month (Pro) | From $39/month (Basic) |
| GitHub | From $49/month (Pro) | From $80/month for the first seat (Growth) |
| Store publishing | From $49/month (Pro): signed builds to Google Play and TestFlight | From $39/month (Basic): one-click App Store and Google Play deployment |
| Website and admin panel for your app | On Pro: a Next.js website and admin panel on the same Supabase backend | Not listed |
| Team features | Teams with admins from Pro (3 teams of 10); Business for 10 teams of 25 | Branching, comments and task assignment |

How you build
In FlutterFlow you lay out each screen yourself: pick widgets, set their properties and wire actions in a visual flow editor. It is precise, and it rewards learning the tool.
In FlutterGo you write what you want, for example “a clinic booking app where patients pick a doctor and a time slot”. The agent plans the screens, writes the Dart and shows the running app in a phone preview. You change it the same way, by asking. The code is a standard Flutter project you can still open and edit.
Price
FlutterGo is cheaper for GitHub: code download and GitHub sync come with Pro at $49 a month, where FlutterFlow asks $80 for GitHub (and $39 for code download alone). For publishing to the stores, FlutterFlow’s Basic plan ($39) is cheaper than FlutterGo Pro ($49). FlutterGo Pro also includes a website and admin panel for your app.
Code ownership
Both give you real Flutter code on paid plans. On FlutterGo, Pro and up can export the project as a ZIP or sync it to a private GitHub repository under your own account, and it stays yours if you cancel.
Questions
Can I move a FlutterFlow project to FlutterGo?
Yes. Download the code from FlutterFlow, then import it into FlutterGo from GitHub or as a ZIP. The agent works inside your existing project instead of starting over.
Do I need to know Flutter to use FlutterGo?
No. You describe the app in plain words. Developers can still read and change every file.
Do I need a Mac to publish to the App Store?
No. FlutterGo builds and signs the iOS app in the cloud and uploads it to TestFlight. You need an Apple Developer account.
Try it on your own idea. Your first app is free to build, no card needed.
