Quick answer

There are two ways to put your work on the web. Share gives a public preview link for testing; for your app, click Share in Ship. For a permanent site, connect Vercel once in Settings → Vercel, then click Publish in the top bar and Deploy to Vercel to put your app's web version, website, admin panel or landing page on your own Vercel account. Publishing to Vercel needs FlutterGo Pro, and only the project owner can publish.

Your FlutterGo app already runs on the web: that's what the live preview is. This chapter covers putting your work on the web for other people.

There are two ways. Share gives you a public preview link, perfect for a quick test on your phone or a teammate's laptop. For a permanent public site, Publish puts your app's web version, website, admin panel or landing page on your own Vercel account. You connect Vercel once; after that, publishing is one click.

The mobile app itself ships to the stores with Ship → Deploy: see Publishing to Google Play and Publishing to the App Store.

What you need#

  • For preview links: nothing extra. On the Free plan, the app's preview and its share link work only while your account has credits, and for 30 minutes after the last credit you spent.
  • For Vercel: FlutterGo Pro or higher, and a Vercel account (Vercel has a free plan). You connect it to FlutterGo once; there is no token to copy. Only the project owner can publish, and the site goes to the owner's Vercel account.

How to do it#

Your app: run it, then click Share in Ship (the right panel). The first time, FlutterGo explains that the link is public: click Create public link. The Share web preview panel then shows "Preview is live · Public", the link with Copy, a QR code (Scan to open on a phone), Email me the link, Open and Stop sharing. Open the link on any device.

Important: The app's share link is public while sharing is on. It stops working when you click Stop sharing or stop the preview. Use it for testing, not as your published site.

A website, admin panel or landing page: FlutterGo hosts a public preview link for it and updates it after every change. Open its tab in the top bar and click Share. The Preview link panel has Copy link and Open in a new tab. Once you publish to Vercel, the same button shows your Live site instead.

Step 2, Connect your Vercel account (once)#

Open Settings → Vercel (Settings is in the account menu at the bottom of the sidebar). The page lists three steps: Click Connect Vercel, Pick your account or team, Approve and come back.

Click Connect Vercel. A Vercel window opens: sign in, pick the Vercel account or team your sites should go to, and approve. Come back to FlutterGo: it notices on its own, says "Vercel connected.", and shows your Vercel account with the status Connected.

You can also connect from a project: until Vercel is connected, the top bar shows Connect Vercel where Publish will be. It opens the Put it online card with the same Connect Vercel button.

Tip: If no Vercel window appears, your browser blocked it, and FlutterGo says "Your browser blocked the Vercel window." Allow pop-ups for fluttergo.ai and click Connect Vercel again. Changed your mind? Click Cancel.

Important: If you finish the Vercel steps somewhere you are not signed in to FlutterGo (for example on your phone), FlutterGo first asks "Connect Vercel to FlutterGo?" and shows which FlutterGo account started the connection, with its email partly hidden. Click Connect only if that account is yours. If someone sent you the link, click Cancel.

On the Free and Starter plans, Connect Vercel opens Plans & billing with Pro selected instead, because publishing to Vercel needs the Pro plan.

Step 3, Publish to Vercel#

  1. In your project's top bar, open the tab you want online: Mobile for your app's web version, or Website, Admin or Landing.
  2. Click Publish in the top bar. The Put it online card opens and says which Vercel account it publishes to.
  3. Click Deploy to Vercel.

FlutterGo uploads it with your Supabase settings, and Vercel builds it. The card walks through Upload → Build → Live and says "Uploading files…", then "Vercel is building it (1–3 minutes)…".

Success: The card shows the live address with Copy link. Click the address to open the live site. It is a .vercel.app address named after your project, or your own domain once you add one in Vercel.

Tip: You can close the page while Vercel builds. FlutterGo keeps following the build, even across a FlutterGo update, and saves the live link when it is ready.

In a shared project only the owner can publish. Anyone else sees "Only the project owner can publish it to Vercel. It goes to their own Vercel account."

Step 4, Update the live site later#

Changed something? Click Publish again, then Redeploy. The site keeps its address.

Step 5, Disconnect (optional)#

Settings → Vercel → Disconnect stops FlutterGo from publishing to your Vercel account. Sites you already published stay in your Vercel account, where you can manage or delete them; Open Vercel takes you to your Vercel dashboard. You can also remove FlutterGo under Integrations in your Vercel dashboard.

Website projects#

When you choose Website on Home, the website is the product. It builds and gets a public preview link on every plan: open it with Share in the top bar. On Pro and up, you can also download its code and use GitHub from the Website tab. Publishing it to your own Vercel needs Pro, the same as everything on Vercel. See Building a website.

In a mobile app project, the admin panel and website need Pro; a landing page does not, but publishing any of them to Vercel needs Pro.

From the command line#

The same steps work from the od command line tool:

  • od vercel status shows whether Vercel is connected, and to which account.
  • od vercel connect --wait prints the Vercel link to approve and waits until you have.
  • od vercel publish --project <id> --module admin --wait publishes a module (admin, website, landing or mobile for the app's web version) and prints the live link.
  • od vercel publish-status --project <id> --module admin shows the state of that module's latest publish.
  • od vercel disconnect disconnects.

Add --json to any of them for machine-readable output.

Troubleshooting#

Problem: Nothing happens when I click Connect Vercel, or FlutterGo says "Your browser blocked the Vercel window." Possible causes: The browser blocked the pop-up. Solution:

  1. Allow pop-ups for fluttergo.ai.
  2. Click Connect Vercel again.

Problem: FlutterGo says "Vercel was not connected. Click Connect Vercel to try again." Possible causes: The Vercel window was closed before you approved, or you clicked Cancel. Solution:

  1. Click Connect Vercel again and finish the steps in the Vercel window.

Problem: Connecting or publishing says it needs the Pro plan. Possible causes: Publishing to Vercel is a Pro feature, and the project owner's plan pays for it. Solution:

  1. Upgrade to Pro in Plans & billing. See Plans, credits & billing.

Problem: "Only the project owner can publish it to Vercel." Possible causes: You are an editor in someone else's project. The site always goes to the owner's own Vercel account. Solution:

  1. Ask the project owner to publish it.

Problem: The card says Vercel deploys are not set up on this FlutterGo server. Possible causes: Publishing to Vercel is switched off on this server. Solution:

  1. Use the preview link for now, and contact support if you expected Vercel to work.

Problem: The deploy failed. Possible causes: The build failed on Vercel, or FlutterGo's access to your Vercel account was removed. Solution:

  1. Click Build log to see Vercel's error.
  2. For a website, admin panel or landing page, click Fix with AI: the agent gets Vercel's error and fixes the code.
  3. If the message asks you to reconnect, open Settings → Vercel, click Disconnect, then Connect Vercel again.
  4. Click Try again.

Problem: The link asks visitors to log in to Vercel. Possible causes: Vercel's Deployment Protection, which is often on for new Vercel projects. Solution:

  1. In Vercel, open the project's Settings → Deployment Protection and turn off Vercel Authentication.
  2. Or add your own domain to the project.

Problem: My app's share link stopped working. Possible causes: Sharing was stopped, the preview was stopped, or, on the Free plan, your account ran out of credits. Solution:

  1. Run the app again and click Share in Ship to create a fresh link.
  2. On Free, top up first. See Plans, credits & billing.

FAQ#

Is the share preview link the same as publishing? No. The app's share link shows the preview build you shared, and stopping the preview doesn't take it offline. For a lasting address on your own domain, publish to Vercel. Publishing puts your site on Vercel with a permanent address.

What can I publish to Vercel? Your app's web version, and your project's website, admin panel and landing page. The Flutter mobile app itself goes to the app stores with Ship → Deploy.

Who can publish, and on which plan? The project owner, on Pro or higher. The site goes to the owner's own Vercel account.

Which "Publish" is which? Publish in the top bar puts the open tab online on your Vercel account. Publish in Ship is different: it lists your app in FlutterGo's public Explore gallery (Publish showcase). See Sharing your project.

Does Vercel cost money? Vercel has a free plan for personal projects; see Vercel's pricing for commercial sites. The site lives in your own Vercel account, so hosting stays under your control.

Can I use my own domain? Yes. Add it to the project in your Vercel dashboard (Settings → Domains). Your next publish shows it as the live link.

Does FlutterGo publish to its own Vercel account? No. Everything goes to the Vercel account you connected, and FlutterGo never asks for a Vercel token.

Can I publish to Cloudflare Pages? Not on fluttergo.ai. Publish to your own Vercel account instead.
