Settings & account management

All of FlutterGo.AI's preferences live in one Settings dialog. You open it with the gear button in the top-right corner of the studio, and a sidebar on the left lists every section.

Settings covers the look of the app (Appearance, Language), how the AI behaves (Instructions / Rules, Memory), alerts (Notifications), your plan (Plans & billing), your code (GitHub & Secrets), your team (Team access), and your identity (Account, Privacy, About).

Here we tour each section and walk through the most common tasks: changing the theme, changing the language, setting notifications, checking your profile, and controlling privacy.

What you need#

• You are signed in for account-related sections. Other sections (like Appearance) work while signed out too.
• You know where the settings gear is: top-right corner of the studio home.

How to do it#

1. Open Settings#

Click the gear button (tooltip: "Settings") in the top-right corner. The Settings dialog opens with a sidebar of sections on the left.

2. Know the sections#

The sidebar shows these sections (each with a short hint):

Important: A few advanced sections, Media providers, Skills, External MCP, Connectors, and MCP server, only appear when FlutterGo Local is paired. If you use FlutterGo Cloud only, you'll not see them, and that is normal.

3. Change the theme (Appearance)#

Click Appearance. Pick one of three options: System, Light, or Dark. The change applies immediately.

4. Change the language#

Click Language. Choose your interface language from the list (English, German, Spanish, French, Japanese, Chinese, and many more). The hint reminds you it is "Saved to this browser," so set it on each device you use.

5. Set up notifications#

Click Notifications. You can control:

• Completion sound, "Plays when a turn finishes. Off by default." You can pick sounds like Ding, Chime, Two-tone up, Pluck.
• Success sound and Failure sound, different sounds for good and bad outcomes.
• Desktop notification, "Sent when the window is not focused."
• Send test, sends a test notification so you can check your setup.

Tip: If desktop notifications never appear, the section will tell you: "Notifications blocked by the browser. Allow them in site settings."

6. Review your account#

Click Account. If you are signed in, you see your profile card with:

• Signed in as, your display name and email.
• Name and Email, shown as read-only details.
• Role, "Administrator" or "Member."
• Member since, the date you joined.
• Sign-in method, "Email and password" or "Single sign-on."

Below the profile is the Session card with the Log out button ("Sign out on this device. Your projects and data stay on the server.").

If you are signed out, this section instead says "You are not signed in" with the hint "Sign in to save projects, sync billing, and use team features," plus a Sign in button.

7. Control your privacy#

Click Privacy. FlutterGo.AI asks what usage data you share to help improve the product:

• How you use FlutterGo, "Run counts, timing, and errors. We never send your prompts or project files."
• Chats and replies, "What you and the agent said, to help us fix bugs. Sensitive details are removed first."
• Your anonymous ID, the random ID attached to shared data.
• Delete my data, "Stops new data from being sent and gives you a fresh anonymous ID."

The Privacy section controls what you share.

Tip: When FlutterGo first asks about data sharing, you can pick Share data or Don't share, and the dialog reminds you: "You can change this any time in Settings under Privacy."

8. Check the About section#

Click About to see Version, Channel, Runtime ("Desktop app" or "Web app"), Device, and Chip. A Download app button appears when a newer desktop build is available; otherwise it says "You're on the latest version." Administrators also see an Open admin panel button here for managing users, organizations, billing, registry policy, and SSO.

9. Share a project with your team#

Click Team access ("Share your project with teammates or clients. Invite them by email and choose what they can do."):

1. Pick the project in the Project dropdown, access is set separately per project.
2. Under Invite someone, enter an Email and choose an Access level: Owner, Editor, or Viewer.
3. Click Send invite. The panel shows "Invite is ready. Copy the link and send it to them." with a Copy link button.

You can later use Make owner to transfer ownership or Remove to take someone off the project. Only the owner can change access.

Success: You can now navigate every settings section and manage your profile, theme, language, alerts, privacy, and team from one dialog.

Common mistake: Looking for a password change or account deletion form in the Account section. Neither exists in the app today, Account shows your details and lets you sign out. For password help or account removal, contact your administrator.

Troubleshooting#

Problem: Desktop notifications never show up.

Possible causes: The browser blocked notifications, or the environment does not support them.

Solution:

1. Open Settings, then Notifications and click Send test.
2. If you see "Notifications blocked by the browser. Allow them in site settings," allow notifications for the site in your browser.
3. Also check your operating system's notification settings, as the test hint suggests.

Problem: I cannot find Media providers, Skills, or Connectors.

Possible causes: These sections only appear when FlutterGo Local is paired.

Solution:

1. Open Settings, then Execution mode.
2. Pair FlutterGo Local (Local Mode requires the Pro plan or above).
3. Reopen Settings, the advanced sections now appear.

Problem: My language reset on another computer.

Possible causes: Language is saved per browser, not per account.

Solution:

1. Open Settings, then Language on the new device.
2. Pick your language again. It will stick on that browser.

FAQ#

Can I change my display name or email? Not from the app today. The Account section shows Name and Email as read-only details. Ask your administrator if something needs correcting.

Can I delete my account? There is no self-service account deletion. The Privacy section's Delete my data button stops analytics sharing and resets your anonymous ID, but it does not delete your account. Contact your administrator for full removal.

What is the difference between Instructions and Memory? Instructions / Rules are "fixed behavior the assistant should follow", always applied. Memory holds "saved facts and context for future chats," which the assistant reuses and can learn over time. Memory can be turned off with the "Enable memory injection" toggle.

Does FlutterGo read my prompts for analytics? Not unless you opt in. The metrics option states: "We never send your prompts or project files." Sharing chat content is a separate option, and "sensitive details are removed first."

What are Owner, Editor, and Viewer? Project access levels in Team access. Owners control access and can transfer ownership ("Make owner"), Editors can change the project, Viewers can look but not edit.
