You can build with FlutterGo from another AI assistant, such as Claude or ChatGPT. You link the assistant to your FlutterGo account once. After that, in your chat with the assistant, it can create a Flutter app project, write its code, start a preview, build an APK, and more, all in your FlutterGo account.
This works through MCP (Model Context Protocol), a standard way for AI apps to use outside tools. FlutterGo runs an MCP server on the web, and any AI app that can connect to one can use it.
Here, the assistant you are chatting with writes the code itself, and FlutterGo compiles, previews, and builds it. FlutterGo's own agents (Go, Go Plus, Go Max) are not used. The projects it creates are normal FlutterGo projects in your account, so you can open them in the studio any time.
What you need#
- A FlutterGo account. Every plan works, Free included.
- A confirmed email address. Creating projects and spending your free credits both need it.
- Credits. Calls that build or change your app spend the same credits as the studio (see What it costs).
- An AI app that can connect to an MCP server on the web, such as Claude or ChatGPT.
How to do it#
1. Copy the connection URL#
Open fluttergo.ai/integrations/mcp. Under Connect it says: "Paste this URL into your client, then sign in to FlutterGo." The URL is:
https://fluttergo.ai/api/mcp/remote2. Add FlutterGo to your AI app#
In your AI app's settings, find the option to add a connector or MCP server. Its name and place differ from app to app and change over time, so check your app's own help if you can't find it. Paste the URL from step 1 as the server URL.
Some apps, such as code editors, take a configuration file instead. The FlutterGo page gives this one:
{"mcpServers":{"fluttergo":{"type":"http","url":"https://fluttergo.ai/api/mcp/remote"}}}3. Sign in to FlutterGo#
Your AI app opens a FlutterGo page, Sign in to FlutterGo. Enter your FlutterGo Email and Password, then click Sign in.
Tip: If you're already signed in to fluttergo.ai in that browser, FlutterGo skips this step. If you usually sign in with Google or Apple, sign in on fluttergo.ai first, in the same browser.
4. Allow access#
FlutterGo asks: "Allow {app} to use FlutterGo?", with the name of the app that is connecting. It shows the account you are signed in as and says the app "will be able to create projects, write Flutter code, and request previews or APKs as you."
Only continue if you started this from that app. Click Allow. (Deny cancels the link.)
5. Build from your chat#
Go back to your AI app and ask for what you want, for example: "Use FlutterGo to create a habit tracker app and show me a preview." The assistant creates the project, writes the screens, starts the preview, and gives you its link when it is running.
Success: The new project also appears in your FlutterGo account, ready to open in the studio.
What it can do#
Once linked, your AI app can:
- create a new Flutter app project, optionally importing a Figma file (connect Figma first);
- read, search, write, and delete the project's files;
- add stock photos, icons, or a launcher icon;
- start the web preview and report its progress or compile errors;
- build an Android APK and give you the download link (Starter and up);
- package the source code as a ZIP download (Starter and up);
- create a GitHub repository, push, and pull (Starter and up);
- check what a store deploy still needs, and start one after you confirm (Pro and up). Store keys and certificates are entered on FlutterGo's own setup page, never in the chat;
- check your plan and credits.
It cannot create Website projects, publish to Vercel, open the Supabase console, change team access, or buy credits or plans. Do those in the FlutterGo studio.
What it costs#
These calls cost 1 credit each, the same credits you use in the studio:
- creating a project;
- writing code: one credit for each batch of files, so writing ten files in one go costs 1 credit, and writing them one at a time costs 10;
- starting the web preview;
- importing a Figma file.
Build APK costs 1 credit and is refunded if the build fails. A store deploy costs 2.5 credits per store, as in the studio, and is refunded if it never reaches the store.
These are free: reading and searching files, checking build or preview progress, checking your plan, GitHub, downloading the code, deleting, and adding images or icons.
If a charged call fails, its credit comes back. At 0 credits, anything that builds or changes your app is not run, and your AI app tells you the credits are used up. Reading your projects still works. To top up, open Plans & billing in FlutterGo (Plans, credits & billing).
Tip: Ask your assistant to write its changes in one batch. It saves credits.
How long the link lasts#
The link lasts 30 days from the moment you click Allow. Using it does not make it last longer. After 30 days your AI app loses access, and you connect again (steps 2 to 4) for another 30 days.
See or disconnect your connected apps#
- Open Settings from the account menu at the bottom of the sidebar.
- Choose Account.
- Find Connected apps: "Apps you let act on your account through MCP, like ChatGPT. Disconnecting takes effect immediately." Each app shows Connected {date} · access ends {date}.
- Click Disconnect next to an app. It asks no confirmation: the app's access stops at once. With more than one app listed, Disconnect all removes them all.
The Connected apps card appears only while at least one app is connected.
Important: Logging out of FlutterGo does not disconnect your AI apps. To stop an app, click Disconnect. If you remove FlutterGo inside Claude or ChatGPT, also click Disconnect here to be sure its access has ended.
Troubleshooting#
Problem: The sign-in page says "Wrong email or password." Possible causes: A typo, or an account that signs in with Google or Apple and has no password. Solution:
- Check the email and password you use for FlutterGo.
- If you sign in with Google or Apple, sign in on fluttergo.ai in the same browser, then connect again from your AI app.
Problem: A page titled Cannot authorize appears. Possible causes: The app's link request is not one FlutterGo knows, for example "Unknown app, or a redirect URL that app never registered." Solution: Remove FlutterGo from your AI app, then add it again with the URL from step 1.
Problem: It worked before, but now every call asks you to sign in. Possible causes: The 30 days are over, or the app was disconnected in Connected apps. Solution: Connect again (steps 2 to 4) and click Allow.
Problem: The assistant says your credits are used up. Possible causes: Your account is at 0 credits. Solution: Buy a credit pack or upgrade on Plans & billing, or wait for your monthly credits to renew. Reading your projects keeps working meanwhile.
Problem: The assistant says APK builds or store deployment are "not enabled for this FlutterGo account". Possible causes: Your plan does not include that feature. Solution: Build APK needs Starter or higher, and store deploy needs Pro or higher. See Plans, credits & billing.
Problem: Creating a project fails with "Confirm your email to start building." Possible causes: Your email address is not confirmed yet. Solution: Open the confirmation email from FlutterGo and click its link, then ask again.
FAQ#
Does it work on the Free plan? Yes. Calls spend your credits like the studio does. APK builds, code download, and GitHub need Starter or higher, and store deploys need Pro or higher.
Does the AI app see my FlutterGo password? No. You sign in on FlutterGo's own page, and the app only receives access to your account, which you can end at any time with Disconnect.
Is FlutterGo's own agent used? No. The assistant you are chatting with, such as Claude or ChatGPT, writes the code. FlutterGo compiles, previews, and builds it.
Can I use other AI apps or code editors? Yes, if they can connect to an MCP server on the web with sign-in. Use the same URL, or the configuration from step 2.
Can I keep working on the project in the studio? Yes. The projects are in your FlutterGo account. Open them from Projects and keep going with FlutterGo's own agent.
